 City Academy Leave in Style - Prom 2012

It was a glorious summer’s evening when 87 Academy students descended on the Holiday Inn for the end of Year Prom 2012.  The night began with numerous grand entrances; these included a Pink Limousine, a Stretched Hummer, an American muscle car and countless other prestigious cars. Mrs O’Keefe even got in on the act arriving in a convertible Porsche. 

The dress code on the night was just as impressive.  The gents all looked very dapper in their evening wear. The ladies all looked exquisite, oozing elegance and style in their magnificent Prom dresses. 

 The night continued with food and a look at some embarrassing photographs from year 7. As soon as the food was eaten, the party really began.  The dance floor was jam-packed all night with Mansoor Hussain taking the lead in the centre.

I am sure all in attendance will agree that it will be a night that stays in the memory for a long time. A big thanks needs to go to Mrs Oram, Jack Lambourn (Head Boy), Beth Goldthorpe (Head Girl) and the Prefects for the organisation and decoration of the venue.
