Careers Help in the Holidays

  The academy will be open on these dates for students needing careers and HE advice after getting their exam results: (add dates here)

Holidays are a good time for students to be thinking about their future plans and finding out what’s available. You can use CareersEtc, our virtual careers centre, anytime day or night to look up information about jobs, training and apprenticeships, further and higher education.

Here are suggestions for things you can do on CareersEtc:

• ·        Speak to a careers adviser from the National Careers Service helpline by clicking on the National Careers Service in Quick Links
• ·        Type a word or phrase in the search box to find the information you are looking for
• ·        Browse the resources on CareersEtc. Click the navigation bar and choose from Y7,8&9, Y10-11, Y12-13, parents/carers
• ·        Choose a careers video that you want to watch from the hundreds available from iCould, Careersbox and pods4jobs. Use the search box to find them quickly
• ·        Click Apprenticeships in Quick links to go to the national Apprenticeships website
